Quick guide

Let’s get your business ready.

Start with the basics. Add the rest when you need it.

  1. Step 1

    Create your account

Use your email and a password of at least 12 characters. Open the verification email, then come back and choose “I verified my email”.

    Create or sign in
  2. Step 2

    Add your business

Choose new or existing business and whether you have a website. Import public website details or add your notes, review what you do and where you work, then create your free manual starter draft. No card is needed for the starter or manual editing. Optional full-site AI generation uses one $2.50 site credit.

    Set up my business
  3. Step 3

    Open your business

Choose your business to find your website, customers, jobs and invoices. When your website is ready, send it to Boswell for publication.

    My businesses
Which tools do I use?
Home
See current work and what needs attention.
Customers
Save contacts, review requests and prepare estimates.
Jobs
Manage work, appointments and tasks.
Money
Keep invoice and cost records. These do not charge cards.
Website
Edit manually for free. A new full-site AI draft uses one $2.50 site credit. The first successfully applied AI edit on each site is free; later AI edits use one site credit. The first five successful AI images across your account are free; later images use one $1 image credit. Review your website before requesting publication.
Writing help
Create a free built-in draft and review it before sharing. Optional AI shows the currently selected funding before use. Writing help shows its own funding and credit requirements; website generation, site edits and images have separate customer credit rules. You do not need a separate AI account.
More tools
Find settings, team access and backups.
Do I need to pay for anything?

You can create a manual starter and edit it without a card. New full-site AI generation uses one $2.50 site credit. AI edit and image allowances are shown before you use them. We explain your selected plan and managed-service costs before you agree. No automatic subscription starts here.

BBS payments
What can I use while connections are pending?
Your website address
After Boswell approves publication, use your BBS hosted address. Connecting a domain you already own is separate from buying one. Follow the domain setup instructions in your workspace; keep using the hosted address until ownership, routing and HTTPS are confirmed.
Email and messages
Prepare and approve a message in BBS, copy it to your existing email or messaging app, then record delivery after you send it. BBS drafts and approval never send a message automatically.
Getting paid by your clients
Use your existing payment method and record the payment against the invoice in Money. BBS payment checkout pays for BBS services; it does not collect your clients’ payments. Client card collection inside BBS is not available yet.
